Tools for 2025 Budgeting

Ag universities and companies offer free tools to support the farm budgeting process. Spreadsheets and apps make it possible to plug in costs to figure out the true cost of farm operations.
 
Your Federated Agronomist can recommend resources for the budgeting process this year. Here are two examples:
 
Compeer Financial, for example, has a Grain Margin Manager spreadsheet that provides a  break-even cost matrix after entering farm expenses such as land rent, machinery, input, trucking, and insurance costs.
 
Another example is the crop budget spreadsheet available from Purdue University. It, too, simplifies the budgeting process.
