Enversa™ Safely Gets to Work on Tough Weeds
Feb 12, 2025
Enversa™, a new pre-emerge herbicide from Corteva®, offers encapsulated chemistry to improve crop safety and performance. Enversa has “no take-down capability” but is highly effective when applied on soybeans up to R2, said Rod Gustafson, Federated’s Albertville location manager.
A big advantage with Enversa, Gustafson noted, “is that it can extend the residual control” that is sometimes lost between pre-emerge and post-emerge herbicide applications.
In the Albertville area – “where waterhemp can carpet a field” – Enversa can attack the small-seeded broadleaves, like waterhemp, early on, Gustafson said. Enversa gets to work immediately and then “gives the residual to keep weeds from coming through,” he said.
While waterhemp is an issue across Federated’s service areas, Albertville “got it first,” said Gustafson. “Enversa is a good [herbicide] to add.” The encapsulated formula of Enversa is better than other encapsulated formulations, “so it’s safer when it’s sprayed over top of beans.”
Enlist One® and Enversa are a great combination that Federated highly recommends. Enversa is applied at a rate of 3 pts./ac. on most soils. (Note: Not all pre-emerge herbicides are labeled to be tank mixed with Enlist One. As always, read and follow label directions.)
As a Corteva product, Enversa is part of the TruChoice offer with savings up to 10%. See related article. Add link to TruChoice article.
