New Federated Co-ops CEO Committed to Growth and Affordable Products and Services for Patrons, Residents and Cabin Owners

We are pleased to announce that after thoughtful consideration and an extensive search, our Board of Directors has selected Michael (Mike) McMahon as CEO of Federated Co-ops. Board President Craig Mold says, “Mike McMahon has a reputation for servicing customers and vendors well, as companies expand and grow. “He will lead our organization into the future with a commitment to providing good products and services, while uncovering new opportunities.”
Mike is taking the reins from retiring General Manager Tim Kavanaugh, who has served Federated for 33 years. “It has been my honor to serve members and solve problems at a local level with people who live and work in our communities, says Kavanaugh. “I believe there is no better industry, nor a more dedicated group of people than those who work within the cooperative system. You are in good hands with Mike McMahon.”
McMahon comes to Federated Co-ops from Schwan’s Home Services where he managed revenue and services to over 1.8 million customers in 48 states “I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue to improve upon the way Federated Co-ops supply energy, find the efficiencies in the system, and drive growth,” says McMahon. “I want to help customers get greater yield at a reasonable price across all of our service areas.
We are pleased to say that Federated Co-ops is a trusted, reliable source for products and services, placing us in the Top 20 propane retailers in the U.S. This is a testament to our dedicated members, vendors, staff and the solid foundation on which we can continue to grow.
